What would America do without hamburgers and Pizza

Image result for pic of pizzaImage result for pic of hamburgerWhat would America do without hamburgers and pizza
By Zoie Himes

Hamburgers are one of the most eaten foods in america hundreds of thousands of restaurants serve hamburgers. Just imagine if all those restaurants stopped selling hamburgers. People would be filled with rage, World War 3 would start, people would start smuggling them over the border, there would be riots everywhere.

But just go one step further what if PIZZA was banned from the United States also. The children would dream of being able to taste at least one bite of pizza one bite of hamburger. Their parents would tell stories of how back in their day people would have pizza every night. And how they would order hamburgers at restaurants all the time. The President would probably get kicked out of office. People would move from the country just to eat a hamburger and pizza again. So thankfully we still have hamburgers and pizza on our menu.

The first part of Christmas this year!

This Christmas was one of the best ever!!!

We spent Christmas with the Erickson's again this year but because this Christmas was a Sunday we went to church.

We wanted this Christmas to be a little extra special and not let our gifts to each other get lost with the rest of the presents, so we did a little Christmas at home before church.

I got a treasure box with pretty birds on top from Adalie, a pea in the pod necklace to represent us older sisters from Kylia, sweet pea lotion from mommy and daddy. After those we opened cards from extended family I got a ten dollar gift card to Barnes and Noble from Uncle Brant and Aunt Jackie, and fifteen dollars from our Great Grandpa and Grandma Bunfill.

But there were four other presents under the tree from mommy and daddy. Daddy said that they all went together so we opened them all at once.  I got a dog bed, Kylia got puppy shampoo and a dog brush, Adalie got a pink puppy harness and leash, and Leilani got a puppy gate. (Can you guess what we got?)

"A PUPPY? WE GOT A PUPPY?" That is what all of us girls said.

Our neighbors went to Paris for Christmas so they asked us to watch their Mastiff named Sabel, and their puppy that they were trying to sell.

Daddy had promised us a puppy for a long time and this Christmas we got one!  Daddy had been praying and asking God for confirmation that this dog was ours and when our neighbors wanted us to watch her he felt that it was ours. The first day we watched her daddy thought that we got along well so he and mommy got her for us.

She is a mini Australian shepherd.  Her name is Cabella Morgan Himes. Here is a picture of her

                                                                       Isn't she cute?
Well that is the first part of our morning then we went to church and then over to the Erickson's for more presents. It was a fun day with lots of presents.  I got really excited and lost my voice, but it was worth it. Loved every moment of it. I hope you have a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

Healing!!!

When I was 7 years old I got the croup, the croup is when your throat gets swollen up and it is hard to breath. When I was sleeping I was breathing really deeply. Daddy came up, wrapped me in a blanket and took me outside to get some fresh air. It went away but when I woke up later, it was back. I rested all day. Every couple minutes mommy wrapped me in a blanket and took me outside. When we tried to watch a movie we had to pause it constantly. Mommy tried to give me a bath to open my airway but I did not like it. Finally daddy drove the car to the front and mommy wrapped me in a blanket and took me to the car and buckled me in and we drove to the ER. They checked me in and got me in a room. Adalie and Kylia were sitting in the waiting room, but daddy and mommy wanted to be in the room with me. So, daddy asked sisters what friend they wanted to stay with, and they said the Gilbaughs (which are amazing friends of ours). I wasn't getting better so they gave me an oxygen thingy. That helped and I could breath on and off . I had to get an x-ray to make sure nothing was in my lungs, and after my x-ray they gave me a stuffed animal. I was now able to breathe but they wanted to make sure I continued breathing well so I had to spend the night. They took me to a new room and when I got to my room there was another stuffed animal and a pillow case I could keep. They put me in the bed, put something on my finger, and the worst part was they put blue thingies on me and wires were connected to them. As soon as Grandma and Grandpa Bunfill heard I had the croup they got in the car and started driving (mommy had the croup when she was 7 too and she almost didn't make it, so they just wanted to make sure everything was okay). Pastor Tim came and gave me a big lioness stuffed animal and a big bag of skittles. He prayed for me and annointed me with oil. And I am doing great now! But the croup didn't just go away, God did it all!

THE END!!!

Leilani's Birth!!

Leilani was born on January 2, 2014.  She was born at 7:37 pm.  She was 7 lbs.3 ozs., and she was beautiful!!
The contractions started when Mama was kneading bread.  But she made us eat dinner anyway.  Mom's bag wasn't packed. So Adalie and daddy hurried to get it packed.
Once we got to the hospital, Adalie, Kylia and I waited in the waiting room, while mommy and daddy were in the delivery room.  It was amazing how quick it went.  Only a half-an-hour!  But we were fine waiting.  Daddy came to get us after Leilani was born.
Before we went to see Leilani, daddy called grandma and grandpa, so they would know that Leilani was here.  We went to see Leilani, and Adalie and Kylia got to hold her.
Then we all got to give her first bath, and it was fun.   When grandma and grandpa came they got to hold her too.
Mama had to stay for two nights.  Grandma and grandpa slept in mommy and daddies room. Then mommy and daddy came home and I was glad to have them home.
When Leilani was two days old she rolled over!  And now she is three months old and we are all a happy family!!

Here is a link to a video taken of Leilani when she is three months!

Exploring The Deschutes

Our first hike we went on was THE DESCHUTES!
When we got there we found this place with a very tall, picnic table, and a very good view of the Deschutes, (if you stand on the table).
This is daddy and Kylia looking at the view.  Isn't it beautiful!?!
Me and Grandma by the Deschutes, snuggling close together.
It was a very sunny day, so we didn't really need sweatshirts and coats.
The sun was warm.  It was a beautiful day!
We found this really cool log!  Adalie climbed up, and then grandpa,
and I just showed that they conquered the log.
There is Kylia on the log.  Isn't she precious?
Sitting on the log with her Ba-Ba-Banana shirt, just relaxing.
We conquered this rock!  You can see because of the picture.
Adalie conquered an even harder rock to conquer.  It was amazing!
It was very hard because it was very pointy.  So, daddy had to save her.
And guess what?!!  I saw a lizard.

It was a fun time with Grandma and Grandpa at Eagle Crest.
You can find more of these fun adventures at Fun With Family.  Enjoy!
